Albert Einstein Middle
Albert Einstein Academy Charter Middle is located on 26th Street in South Park. According to Niche.com, the school boasts an A- with 587 students. Albert Einstein Middle also has a 19 to 1 student-teacher ratio. In addition they also have an A rating for teachers and diversity. If your kids are still looking to run around and get rid of extra energy, the Grant Hill Neighborhood Park is right across the street.
Albert Einstein Middle not only has 6-8th grade, they also offer kindergarten through 5th grade. This charter school has a B+ rating on Niche.com. Einstein Academy hosts 693 students with a 22-1 student-teacher ratio. While Einstein Academy and Albert Einstein Middle are related, they are located at different campuses. Einstein Academy is situated on 3035 Ash Street. Close to this campus you will find Benny’s Mexican Food, Grant’s Marketplace, and the popular Buona Forchetta Italian restaurant.
McGill School of Success
About five blocks away from Einstein Academy you will find McGill School of Success which has a B- rating on Niche. This public charter school has 147 students and compared to the other schools, it has an 18 to 1 student-teacher ratio. McGill School of Success is for grades kindergarten to 3rd and has a B rating for diversity. Compared to Albert Einstein Middle and Einstein Academy, McGill School of Success has a lower ranking in academics.
Golden Hill K-8
Golden Hill K-8 has an overall B- rating on Niche.com and a B rating for teachers. The school has 411 students with a 20 to 1 student-teacher ratio, the second highest ratio behind Einstein Academy. Golden Hill K-8 offers a dual language immersion program for Spanish and English. Although the school is located at 1240 33rd Street in Golden Hill, it is very close to South Park and is worth your time to check out if you are considering a move to the area.
McKinley Elementary School
McKinley Elementary is located on 3045 Felton Street in North Park, which is in close proximity to South Park. It may be an option for you and your family via the San Diego Unified School District “Choice” program, which you can read more about here. McKinley comes in with an A- rating on Niche.com and has 588 students. Grades K-5 are taught here, and the school has a student-teacher ratio of 25-1. Nearby you and your family can visit the Montclair Neighborhood Park!
