If you’re a coffee lover, then North Park might just be the neighborhood for you! With no shortage of cafes to visit, we’re sharing some of our favorites today.
Located at 2911 University Avenue, Holsem Coffee can serve all your regular coffee needs with a focus on whole, raw ingredients. So what really sets them apart? Their unique craft coffee cocktails. If you stop by, be sure to try the ginger snap or banana bread (yes, that last one is a drink)!
Communal Coffee takes the cake for most trendy ambiance. This Instagram staple also has a beautiful flower shop inside named Native Poppy. And you guessed, they serve avocado toast. Find Communal Coffee at 2335 University Avenue.
Dark Horse Coffee
Dark Horse is so popular that they actually have locations all throughout our stunning city. What’s so important to them about coffee? Relationships. They are proud of their direct-trade coffee and their own relationship with smallholder farmers from around the globe. You can visit Dark Horse Coffee in North Park at 3794 30th Street.
Caffe Calabria comes in for a close second for ambiance behind Communal Coffee. In fact, if you’re looking for something a little less trendy (like Communal) this may be the spot for you, with their vibes feeling more Italian than Instagram. And yes, they roast their own beans and make a mean pizza. Check them out at 3933 30th Street.
“Coffee & Beer Coffee & Beer” is the motto for local Young Hickory. Does it get more Southern Californian than that? Serving a variety of beers along side local Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, head to 4096 30th Street for free WiFi and a bite to eat.
